This policy explains what ByteBuddy Academy collects when you use ByteMorph at bytemorph.app, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: support@example.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored hashed).
- Your content: the recordings, images and logos you upload, websites you ask us to record, and the reels, templates and brand kits you make.
- Usage: which features you use, exports you make, and basic events such as signing up, so we can run and improve ByteMorph.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device, in our server logs.
- Billing: Paddle, our merchant of record, collects your payment details. We receive your plan, billing country and invoice records, never your full card number.
How we use it
- To provide ByteMorph: store your files, show previews, record websites you ask for, and let you export.
- To run your plan and trial, including emails about your trial ending and your account.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To understand how ByteMorph is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it.
We don't sell your personal data and we don't use your content to advertise.
Who we share it with
- Paddle, for payments, tax and invoices.
- Our hosting and storage providers, which store the app and your files on our behalf.
- Our email provider, to send account and trial emails.
- Discord, where our team receives alerts and the feedback you send from the app. These include your account number, plan and feedback text, never your email address.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Where it is stored and for how long
Your data is stored with our hosting and storage providers. We keep it while your account is open. Reels you delete go to the trash for 30 days and are then removed, with the files only they used. When you delete your account, we delete your account data and files, except records we must keep by law (such as billing records, which Paddle also keeps).
Your rights
You can see and change your details in Settings, download your files, and delete your account. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to support@example.com. Depending on where you live, you may be able to complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in, protect forms, and remember preferences such as the theme. We don't use advertising cookies. Paddle sets its own cookies during checkout.
